About the Role:
As an SEN Teacher, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality education and support to primary-aged students with special educational needs. Your responsibilities will include planning and delivering tailored lessons, working closely with support staff, and creating an inclusive learning environment that promotes the academic and personal growth of each student.
Key Responsibilities:
– Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons to meet the individual needs of students with SEN.
– Develop and implement EHCP’s in collaboration with support staff and parents.
– Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and engagement.
– Monitor and assess student progress, providing regular feedback to students, parents, and colleagues.
– Utilise a variety of teaching strategies and resources to support diverse learning styles.
– Maintain accurate records and documentation related to student progress and development.
– Collaborate with other teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals to ensure a holistic approach to student support.
Requirements:
– Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, with experience in SEN teaching.
– Strong knowledge and understanding of special educational needs and inclusive teaching practices.
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
– Ability to adapt teaching methods to suit individual student needs and learning styles.
– A proactive and flexible approach to working in different school environments.
– Valid DBS check or willingness to obtain one.
