Position Overview:
As a Computer Science Teacher, you will play a vital role in inspiring and guiding students towards a deep understanding of computer science principles, programming languages, and computational thinking. You will have the opportunity to teach engaging lessons, design innovative projects, and facilitate hands-on experiences that ignite curiosity and passion for the subject.
Responsibilities:
Deliver high-quality computer science lessons that align with the curriculum, fostering a supportive and engaging learning environment.
Promote an inclusive classroom environment where all students can actively participate and achieve their full potential.
Develop and implement effective assessment strategies to monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback.
Inspire students to explore computer science beyond the classroom, encouraging participation in extracurricular activities such as coding clubs, robotics competitions, and hackathons.
Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the computer science curriculum, integrating emerging technologies and industry practices.
Requirements:
Qualified teacher status (QTS) or equivalent, with a specialization in Computer Science or a related field.
A deep understanding of computer science concepts, programming languages (such as Python, Java, or C++), and computational thinking.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate students from diverse backgrounds.
A passion for continuous professional development and a commitment to staying up-to-date with the latest advancements in the field of computer science education.
Experience working with secondary school students, either through teaching placements, previous roles, or extracurricular activities.
