4myschools are looking for a Part Time LSA in Chelmsford, Essex.
We are currently recruiting on behalf of a fantastic primary school in Chelmsford for a dedicated and compassionate Part Time LSA Chelmsford to provide one-to-one support for a child in Year 1 with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), global developmental delay, sensory needs, and social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs.
Contract: Fixed Term until August 2029
Hours: 22.5 hours per week, Term-Time Only
Working Hours: 8:30am – 1:00pm, Monday to Friday
Key Responsibilities:
– Provide personalised support to a Year 1 pupil with ASD, ensuring their individual learning, sensory, and emotional needs are met.
– Assist in implementing strategies to aid the child’s development in both academic and social environments as a Part Time LSA Chelmsford
– Work collaboratively with the teaching team, SENCO, and other professionals to monitor progress and adapt interventions as needed.
– Support classroom activities and routines, focusing on encouraging engagement and participation.
– Help manage sensory and emotional regulation challenges, ensuring the child feels supported and able to engage in school life.
Requirements:
– Prior experience working with children with special educational needs, particularly those with ASD, global developmental delay, or SEMH needs.
– A patient, caring approach with strong communication and interpersonal skills as a Part Time LSA Chelmsford
– The ability to work effectively within a team, liaising with staff and external professionals to support the child’s development.
– A passion for making a positive impact on the lives of children with additional needs, helping them achieve their full potential.
