Key Responsibilities for the Science Teacher Job Eye:

The teacher will report to the Head of Science and will be responsible for teaching classes in the school at both Key Stage 3 & 4 using their skills, experience and best endeavours and in accordance with Teachers’ Standards.

The ability to teach Chemistry at GCSE at both Foundation and Higher tier is preferable. In addition, they are likely to undertake some form tutor responsibilities.

Must abide by the Code of Conduct for Staff and Volunteers at the School.

A contribution to the wider life of the school is an expectation of all staff, for example by supporting the extra-curricular activities within the Science Department.

Requirements for the Science Teacher Job Eye:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching qualification.

Passion for education and a genuine interest in contributing to students’ development.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Adaptability and the ability to thrive in diverse teaching environments.

Enhanced DBS.
