4myschools are looking for a Part Time Food tech Teacher to work at a school in Hertford, Hertfordshire.
We are seeking a passionate and motivated Food Technology Teacher to join our dynamic school in Hertford, Hertfordshire for a maternity cover starting in January 2024. This is a part-time position, but we are open to considering a full-time arrangement if desired. An early start can also be arranged for the right candidate.
As a Food Technology Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging lessons in Food Technology to students across Key Stage 3 and 4. You will have the opportunity to inspire students, helping them develop both practical cooking skills and an understanding of food science.
Key Responsibilities for a Part Time Food Tech Teacher
- Teach Food Technology at Key Stage 3 and 4
- Plan and deliver high-quality, engaging lessons that inspire student creativity and enthusiasm
- Assess, monitor, and track student progress
- Maintain a safe, clean, and well-organized teaching environment
- Collaborate with the wider department and school community
- Support and guide students in their learning journey, helping them to achieve their potential
Requirements
- Qualified teacher status (QTS) or equivalent
- Strong knowledge and experience in teaching Food Technology
- Enthusiastic about the subject and able to engage students with diverse learning needs
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues
- Previous experience in a secondary school setting is desirable but not essential
