We are seeking an enthusiastic and adaptable EYFS Teaching Assistant to work at a primary school in Bishops Stortford, Hertfordshire. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about working with young children and supporting their development in a nurturing environment.
Key Responsibilities for a EYFS Teaching Assistant:
- Support the class teacher in delivering high-quality learning experiences for children in the EYFS.
- Assist in the planning and preparation of classroom activities and resources.
- Work with small groups and individual children to support their academic, social, and emotional development.
- Help create a safe and engaging learning environment that encourages exploration, creativity, and curiosity.
- Monitor and record children’s progress, providing feedback to the class teacher.
- Assist with the general care and well-being of children, ensuring they are safe, happy, and engaged.
- Work closely with parents and carers, supporting home-school communication and involvement.
Requirements:
EYFS Teaching Assistant
- Experience working with children in an Early Years setting, ideally in a Primary School environment.
- A Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Childcare or equivalent (desirable).
- A passion for working with young children and supporting their learning and development.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well in a team.
- A proactive, flexible, and positive attitude.
- An understanding of the EYFS curriculum and child development.
