4myschools are looking for a KS1 SEN Teacher to work at a school in Letchworth, Hertfordshire. This will be on part time basis working every Monday and Tuesday. This is a January 2025 start for at least two months.
Are you a passionate and dedicated teacher with experience supporting children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)? We are seeking a committed KS1 SEN Teacher to join our welcoming school in Letchworth, where you will be supporting children with autism on a part-time basis, working every Monday and Tuesday.
Key Responsibilities for a KS1 SEN Teacher
- Provide tailored, inclusive education to children in Key Stage 1 (KS1) with Autism.
- Develop and deliver engaging lessons that support both academic and social-emotional development.
- Collaborate with the SENCO and other professionals to create individual learning plans (ILPs) for students.
- Offer one-on-one support to ensure that students with autism are fully engaged and supported in their learning.
- Help foster a safe, nurturing, and structured environment where children feel confident and secure.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Experience working with children with autism, ideally in a KS1 setting.
- Knowledge of strategies to support children with special educational needs, particularly those with ASD.
- A patient, empathetic, and flexible approach to teaching.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a team.
