We are seeking an experienced and compassionate 1:1 Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join a friendly and supportive team at a primary school in Grays. 🌟 1:1 Learning Support Assistant Job

In this role, you will provide tailored support to a child in Year 1 with autism, ensuring they are supported in accessing the curriculum and developing essential social and learning skills. You will work closely with the child, teachers, and other staff to foster an inclusive and positive learning environment. 🏫✨

Key Responsibilities:

Provide 1:1 support to a child with autism, supporting their educational, social, and emotional needs 💬
Assist in implementing individualized learning plans and strategies specific to autism 📊
Support the child in navigating both academic tasks and social situations, encouraging their independence 💪
Collaborate with teachers, SENCO, and other support staff to ensure a coordinated and inclusive approach 🤝
Foster positive relationships and provide emotional support to help the child thrive in the classroom ❤️

Ideal Candidate:

Essential: Previous experience working with children with autism, particularly in an educational setting 🧩
A patient, empathetic, and understanding approach to supporting children with autism 💙
Strong communication skills to engage with the child, teachers, and parents effectively 🗣️
A proactive attitude to problem-solving and supporting the child’s specific needs 🧠
Knowledge of strategies and interventions that support children with autism is highly beneficial 🔧
