Rates of Daily Pay for Supply Teachers and Support Staff
Supply teachers and support staff are paid to their last Main Pay Scale or what the school would pay them if they employed them directly after completing 12 qualifying weeks. AWR (Agency Workers Regulations) It’s the law.
4myschools will work with schools to gain Main Pay Scale or as near to it for all long term assignments before your 13th Week.
For Adhoc daily supply cover, you will receive a standard daily rate to reflect the role you are completing. Most daily supply staff assignments do not involve planning or marking or further commitment to the school. Many candidates want freedom and are content with a lower rate compared to their last full-time position.
If the school requires a longer-term commitment for a full or part-time cover assignment 4myschools will always try to get you a higher rate negotiated with the school from day one.
We believe this is right and shows a commitment from you, the school and 4myschools to improve pay for hard-working supply staff.
Supply Teacher, Teaching Assistant & Cover Supervisor

Registration Information Needed
Just so you are clear for the registration process the following information is needed. This avoids surprises and makes the entire registration process easier for you and us:
Teacher Registration Documentation Requirements:
- Up to date CV
- Minimum of two references covering the last three years (with ideally one from your last position
- Relevant degree level teaching qualification with certificates
- If UK-trained, have full registration with the National College for Teaching and Leadership
- Evidence of experience of classroom-based teaching within the last 6 years
- A valid visa to work in the UK or hold an EU Passport Photographic proof of identification
- Two additional forms of address confirmation (i.e. utility bills, bank statement etc. must be less than 3 months old)
- A current Enhanced Disclosure Barring Service (DBS) check. If no DBS check is available, a payment (bank transfer) for £50.50 will be required to obtain a new disclosure, which we will arrange on your behalf. 4myschools is a DBS Registered Body and we comply with the DBS Code of Practice which can be seen on the link.

Support Staff (Nursery Nurses / Teaching Assistants and Cover Supervisors)
- Up to date CV
- Minimum of two references covering the last three years (with ideally one from your last position)
- Hold relevant experience and qualifications with certificates
- Have a valid visa to work in the UK or hold an EU Passport
- Provide photographic proof of identification
- Two additional forms of address confirmation (i.e. utility bills, bank statement etc. must be less than 3 months old)
- A current Enhanced Disclosure Barring Service (DBS) check. If no DBS check is available, a payment (bank transfer) for £50.50 will be required to obtain a new disclosure.
- National Insurance Number
- Bank Details
It is a safeguarding compliance requirement of registration for us to see the original documents for verification of your documents.
