About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated Speech and Language Teaching Assistant to join our vibrant educational team in Grays, Thurrock. In this role, you will work closely with teachers, speech and language therapists, and other educational professionals to support students with communication difficulties. You will assist in delivering targeted interventions, helping students develop their speech, language, and social communication skills. 🧠👂

Key Responsibilities:

Support individual and small groups of students with speech and language needs. 👩‍🏫👨‍🏫
Implement and deliver bespoke speech and language programs under the guidance of a specialist. 📚✨
Assist in creating a positive, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment. 🌈
Work collaboratively with teachers to adapt lesson plans to meet the needs of students. ✍️
Monitor and report on student progress, providing feedback to the teaching team and parents. 📊📝

Requirements:

Previous experience in a similar role or a background in education, psychology, or speech and language therapy is preferred. 🧩🎓
A patient, empathetic, and encouraging approach to working with children. 🤗
Strong communication and organizational skills. 🗂️
