About the Role:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated History Teacher to join a vibrant secondary school in Bishops Stortford. This is a full-time position, though part-time applications will also be considered. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching History across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the possibility of Key Stage 5 depending on experience.
Key Responsibilities:
– Plan and deliver dynamic and engaging History lessons that inspire and challenge students.
– Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback.
– Create a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
– Contribute to the development of the History curriculum.
– Participate in departmental meetings, parents’ evenings, and professional development opportunities.
Requirements:
– Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
– A degree in History or a related subject.
– Proven experience teaching History at the secondary level.
– Strong classroom management skills.
– Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
– Commitment to continuous professional development.
