We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join a vibrant primary school in Colchester. This full-time position offers the potential to transition from a temporary to a permanent role, starting this September.

Key Responsibilities:

– Provide tailored support to Year 3 students with special educational needs, ensuring their individual learning needs are met.
– Assist the class teacher in creating an inclusive and engaging learning environment.
– Implement and adapt lesson plans to accommodate the diverse needs of SEN students.
– Monitor and track student progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents.
– Foster a positive and nurturing atmosphere that promotes student well-being and confidence.
– Support students in developing social, emotional, and academic skills.

Requirements:

– Previous experience working with children with special educational needs is essential.
– Relevant qualifications in education or SEN support are highly desirable.
– A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach to supporting students.
– Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
– Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
