About the Role:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and passionate Learning Support Assistant to join a vibrant primary school in Danbury, Essex, on a full-time basis. The successful candidate will work closely with the Year 4 teaching team, providing essential support to students with diverse learning needs.
Key Responsibilities:
– Deliver targeted support to individual students or small groups, ensuring they are fully engaged and making progress.
– Assist in the planning and delivery of lessons, working alongside the class teacher to provide differentiated instruction.
– Support classroom management, fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
– Collaborate with the SENCO to implement and monitor EHCP’s tailored to students’ needs.
– Build strong relationships with students, staff, and parents, contributing to the overall development and well-being of the students.
– Provide support during break times and participate in extracurricular activities as required.
Candidate Requirements:
– Prior experience as a Learning Support Assistant or in a similar role within a primary school setting.
– A strong understanding of the Key Stage 2 curriculum, with a focus on Year 4.
– Patience, empathy, and a genuine commitment to supporting children’s educational development.
– Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
– The ability to work effectively within a team and independently when required.
– A relevant qualification in education or child development is advantageous but not essential.
