The Role:
We are currently seeking a Special Educational Needs Learning Support Assistant (SEN LSA) for flexible supply work in Felixstowe. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to work across a range of schools, providing vital support to students with diverse learning needs.
Key Responsibilities:
– Individualised Support: Assist students with a variety of special educational needs, ensuring they have the resources and support required to succeed.
– Classroom Assistance: Work closely with teachers to create an inclusive learning environment.
– Progress Monitoring: Help track student progress and report on their development to teachers and SEN coordinators.
– Behavioural Support: Implement strategies to manage and support positive behaviour.
– Adaptability: Provide support across different classes and year groups as required.
Requirements:
– Experience: Previous experience working as an LSA or in a similar role, ideally within SEN.
– Qualifications: Relevant qualifications in education or SEN are highly desirable.
– Skills: Excellent communication, empathy, and the ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.
– Flexibility: Willingness to work on a flexible, supply basis to meet the varying needs of schools.
