About the Role:
As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the continuity of education for students in the absence of their regular teacher. You will be responsible for managing the classroom, ensuring students remain on task with the work set by their teachers, and supporting their learning journey. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to gain experience in education, whether you are considering a future career in teaching or looking to contribute positively to your local community.
Key Responsibilities:
– Supervise classes during teacher absences
– Manage classroom behaviour and ensure a productive learning environment
– Distribute and explain pre-prepared lesson plans
– Assist students with any questions or issues related to their work
– Report back to the regular teacher on student progress and behaviour
Requirements:
– Strong communication and organisational skills
– Ability to manage and engage with students effectively
– A positive, can-do attitude and a passion for education
– Previous experience working with children or in a school setting is desirable but not essential
– A valid DBS check or willingness to obtain one
