About the Role:
Our reputable education recruitment agency is seeking a committed and enthusiastic Year 6 Teaching Assistant to join a dynamic primary school in Ipswich. This full-time position focuses on small group work, providing targeted support to students to help them excel academically and develop essential skills.
Key Responsibilities:
– Small Group Instruction: Deliver tailored learning sessions in small groups to support the diverse needs of Year 6 students.
– Individual Support: Provide one-on-one assistance to students who require additional help with their studies.
– Classroom Assistance: Assist the class teacher in preparing resources, managing classroom activities, and maintaining a positive learning environment.
– Progress Monitoring: Track and report on students’ progress, offering feedback to teachers and parents as needed.
– Engagement Activities: Plan and facilitate engaging activities that enhance learning and encourage student participation.
About You:
To be successful in this role, you should have:
– Experience: Previous experience working with primary-aged children, ideally within a Year 6 setting.
– Qualifications: Relevant qualifications such as a Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant certificate (or equivalent).
– Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
– Dedication: A passion for education and a commitment to supporting student growth and development.
