We are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Design Technology (DT) Teacher to join a well-established secondary school in Ipswich on a part-time basis starting in September.
Job Description:
We are looking for a passionate and experienced Design Technology (DT) Teacher to deliver engaging and high-quality lessons to secondary school students. The successful candidate will have a strong background in teaching DT, with the ability to inspire students and foster a love for creativity and innovation. This role involves working closely with other staff members to ensure a cohesive and supportive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
– Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging DT lessons in line with the national curriculum.
– Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and success.
– Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to support their development.
– Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement effective teaching strategies.
– Maintain accurate records of student performance and report on progress to parents and senior staff.
– Ensure a safe and organised classroom environment, adhering to health and safety guidelines.
Requirements:
– Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
– A degree in Design Technology or a related field.
– Previous experience teaching DT at the secondary school level.
– Strong classroom management skills and the ability to engage and motivate students.
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
– A commitment to continuous professional development and keeping up to date with changes in the DT curriculum.
