Working Hours: 2 Days Per Week

About the Role:

Our client, a reputable and supportive educational institution in Lowestoft, is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced English teacher to join their team. This role involves working with students who have diverse learning needs, ensuring they receive the tailored support necessary to thrive academically and personally. The position is part-time, requiring availability for 2 days per week.

Key Responsibilities:

– Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and effective English lessons tailored to the needs of SEN students.
– Develop individualised learning plans and adapt teaching methods to meet the unique needs of each student.
– Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes the academic and social development of all students.
– Monitor and assess student progress, providing regular feedback to students, parents, and colleagues.
– Collaborate with other educators, support staff, and external agencies to ensure a comprehensive approach to each student’s education and well-being.
– Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student progress and development.

Requirements:

– Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
– Proven experience working with SEN students, preferably in an English teaching capacity.
– Strong understanding of SEN best practices and strategies.
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
– Patience, empathy, and a genuine commitment to supporting students with special educational needs.
– Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
