4myschools are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Cover Supervisors to join our team, supporting schools in St Albans, Hertfordshire. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals who are looking to make a positive impact on students’ learning experiences.
Role Overview:
As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising classes during the short-term absence of teachers. This role is pivotal in ensuring that students continue their learning in a structured and positive environment. You will deliver pre-set work, manage classroom behaviour, and support students’ learning across various subjects.
Key Responsibilities:
– Supervise and manage a classroom of students, ensuring a calm and productive learning environment.
– Deliver pre-prepared lesson plans and activities, maintaining the continuity of students’ education.
– Support students with their learning and address any questions or concerns they may have.
– Manage classroom behaviour in line with the school’s policies and procedures.
– Provide feedback to the regular class teacher about the class and any issues encountered.
Requirements:
– Experience working with young people, ideally in an educational setting.
– Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
– Ability to manage classroom behaviour effectively.
– Flexibility and adaptability to work in different school environments.
– A proactive and positive attitude.
– Minimum of GCSEs in English and Maths (or equivalent).
– A valid DBS check or willingness to obtain one.
