About the Role:
As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the continuity of education for students in the absence of their regular teachers. Your responsibilities will include:
– Supervising and managing classroom activities, ensuring students remain on task and follow the set curriculum.
– Providing support to students, helping them with their work and addressing any issues that may arise.
– Implementing the lesson plans provided by the absent teacher and ensuring a positive and productive learning environment.
– Maintaining good order and discipline within the classroom.
– Assisting with administrative tasks related to the supervision of classes as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
– Supervise and manage classroom activities in the absence of the regular teacher.
– Implement and follow lesson plans provided by the school.
– Support students with their learning and ensure they stay engaged.
– Maintain a positive and productive classroom environment.
– Address any behavioural issues and report them to the school as necessary.
Requirements:
– Experience working with children or young people, preferably in an educational setting.
– Strong communication and organisational skills.
– Ability to adapt to different classroom environments and teaching styles.
– A proactive and adaptable approach with a passion for supporting student development.
– A relevant qualification or background in education is preferred but not essential.
