4myschools are looking for a Cover Supervisor to work in Secondary Schools across St Albans with an immediate start on a supply basis.
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Cover Supervisor to join us working in secondary schools in St Albans. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate educator to make a real impact on students’ academic progress and engagement.
The position is available for an immediate start on a supply basis. This role would be perfect for someone considering a career in teaching, recent graduates, or individuals with experience in youth work or similar environments.
Key Responsibilities for a Cover Supervisor:
Supervise and manage a classroom of students, ensuring they remain on task with the work set by their usual teacher.
Support students with their learning, following instructions and ensuring a positive learning environment.
Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies and ensure students adhere to school rules.
Deliver pre-prepared lessons and activities in a variety of subjects across Key Stages 3 and 4.
Report back to the appropriate member of staff on the progress and behaviour of students after lessons. Cover Supervisor Job
Requirements:
Have strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Be confident in managing classroom behaviour and maintaining a focused learning environment.
Have experience working with young people (experience in a school setting is desirable but not essential).
Be flexible, adaptable, and ready to work in a variety of schools.
Be reliable and organised, with a passion for supporting students’ learning.
