Secondary English Teacher required for a fixed-term basis in Welwyn Garden City, Hertfordshire
We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed English Teacher to join our team on a fixed-term basis at a vibrant secondary school in Welwyn Garden City. This role is available for an immediate start and will run until at least Christmas. You will be responsible for delivering English lessons across both Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
Key Responsibilities for a Secondary English Teacher:
– Deliver engaging and creative lessons in line with the national curriculum.
– Plan and prepare high-quality lessons to meet the needs of all fixed term secondary English learners.
– Mark and assess pupils’ work, providing constructive feedback.
– Manage classroom behaviour in a positive and effective way.
– Work collaboratively with colleagues and contribute to the wider school community.
– Communicate effectively with parents and carers to support student progress.
Requirements for an English Teacher:
– Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
– Experience teaching fixed term secondary English at KS3 and KS4 levels.
– A passion for inspiring students and making learning enjoyable and meaningful.
– Strong organisational and communication skills.
– A commitment to high standards of teaching and learning.
