We are looking for a full-time Behaviour Mentor to join a team supporting Key Stage 3 students in Ipswich. This role is both challenging and highly rewarding, providing the chance to make a real difference in the lives of students who need extra guidance to achieve their best.

Working within an alternative provision setting, you’ll help students overcome barriers to learning, build their confidence, and support their educational and personal development.

Key Responsibilities:

– Provide one-on-one and small group mentoring to students, tailoring support to their individual needs.
– Assist in the planning and delivery of tailored educational programs.
– Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
– Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and external agencies to ensure cohesive support for students.
– Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback and reports as required.
– Address behavioural, social, and emotional issues in a constructive and supportive manner.
– Encourage and motivate students to engage fully in their education.

Requirements for Behaviour Mentor Jobs Ipswich:

– Experience working with young people, preferably in an educational or alternative provision setting.
– Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
– Ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and external partners.
– Patience, resilience, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
– A relevant qualification in education, youth work, or a related field is desirable but not essential.
– A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.

– Able to work full time, term time only
