Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Classroom-Based Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant educational team in Stanford-le-Hope. The successful candidate will work closely with teachers to provide support for students, ensuring a positive and effective learning environment.

Key Responsibilities

Support Learning Activities: 📝 Assist the classroom teacher in planning and implementing learning activities, adapting resources to meet the needs of students.
Individual and Group Support: 👥 Provide one-on-one and small group support to students, helping them understand and engage with the curriculum.
Classroom Management: 🏫 Help maintain an orderly and supportive classroom environment, managing student behavior and promoting positive interactions.
Resource Preparation: 📚 Prepare and organize teaching materials and resources, ensuring they are ready for use during lessons.
Assessment Assistance: 📊 Support the teacher in assessing students’ progress by observing, recording, and providing feedback on their performance.
Inclusive Education: 🌈 Assist in implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs) for students with special educational needs, ensuring all students have access to learning.
Administrative Support: 📂 Perform administrative tasks such as taking attendance, organizing student records, and other clerical duties as required.
Extracurricular Activities: 🎨 Support school events, trips, and extracurricular activities, contributing to the overall school community.

Qualifications and Skills

Education: 🎓 Minimum of GCSEs in English and Maths (A-C grades). A Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable.
Experience: 📅 Previous experience working with children in an educational setting is preferred.
Skills:💬 Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
🤝 Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
🌟 Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude towards working with children.
📋 Organizational skills and the ability to multitask.
💻 Basic IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office.
