4myschools is proud to partner with a prestigious educational institution in Norwich seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Engineering Teacher. This part-time position, starting in January 2025 and continuing for the remainder of the academic year, offers the chance to work with high-achieving students who have a strong interest in Science, Mathematics, and Computing.
The ideal candidate will be passionate about engaging students through fun, dynamic, and exciting engineering lessons, fostering creativity and a love for the subject. You’ll join a team of educators who are committed to delivering exceptional learning experiences in a supportive and forward-thinking environment.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and comprehensive Engineering lessons to students across KS4 and KS5.
- Employ a variety of teaching techniques and strategies to inspire learning and deepen students’ understanding of Engineering and related fields.
- Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment that fosters active participation and a passion for the subject.
- Assess and evaluate student progress through assignments, projects, quizzes, and exams, providing constructive feedback to help them excel.
- Incorporate technology and practical activities to enhance learning and engage students in hands-on experiences.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and progress, and communicate effectively with parents/guardians about their child’s achievements.
- Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in Engineering and STEM education to continuously improve teaching practices.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Proven experience teaching Engineering or related subjects at the secondary level.
- Passion for education and a commitment to inspiring students to explore and excel in Engineering.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students, staff, and parents.
- Ability to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment that meets diverse student needs.
- Competence in using technology to deliver innovative and interactive lessons.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail for both teaching and administrative responsibilities.
