Key Responsibilities for the Food Technology Teacher Job:

Planning, preparing, and delivering high-quality Food Technology lessons in line with the curriculum.
Ensuring students have a clear understanding of key concepts in food science, nutrition, and practical cooking skills.
Assessing and monitoring student progress, providing feedback, and supporting students with their learning.
Maintaining a safe and efficient working environment in the food technology classroom.
Collaborating with colleagues to continuously improve the department’s teaching practices.
Participating in extracurricular activities and school events related to Food Technology.
Engaging with parents and carers regarding students’ progress and achievements.

Requirements of the Food Technology Teacher Job:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
A degree or equivalent qualification in Food Technology, Home Economics, or a related field.
Experience teaching Food Technology.
Strong knowledge of the curriculum and current trends in food education.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to inspire and engage students of all abilities.
A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
