Higher Level Teaching Assistant Attleborough

As a Higher-Level Teaching Assistant for a school in Attleborough, you will be responsible for delivering planned lessons, supporting classroom activities, and ensuring a positive learning environment in the absence of the regular teacher. You will work closely with students of various ages and abilities, providing support to help them achieve their best.

Responsibilities of the Higher-Level Teaching Assistant:

Deliver planned lessons and maintain high standards of teaching and learning.
Support and engage students in their learning and development.
Manage classroom behaviour effectively, ensuring a positive and productive learning environment.
Provide feedback and report on students’ progress to the school leadership.
Collaborate with teachers and support staff to ensure a smooth transition between regular and supply cover.

Requirements of the Higher-Level Teaching Assistant:

Higher-Level Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent experience.
Previous experience in a similar role.
Strong classroom management skills and the ability to adapt to different teaching styles.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to quickly adapt to new environments and build rapport with students.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
A valid DBS check or willingness to undertake one.
