The Role 📋
They are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join their dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the teaching and learning process, working closely with teachers to plan, deliver, and assess lessons, as well as leading small group and individual interventions. 🌱👩🎓👨🎓
Key Responsibilities As A HLTA (Higher Level Teaching Assistant) 🔑
- Support Classroom Teaching: Assist teachers in the delivery of engaging and effective lessons across various subjects. 📖🖍️
- Lead Learning Activities: Plan, prepare, and deliver learning activities for small groups or individual students, ensuring all pupils make progress. 📚🔍
- Assessment and Feedback: Monitor and assess pupils’ progress, providing feedback to students and teachers to support continuous improvement. ✅🗣️
- Classroom Management: Maintain a positive learning environment, managing behaviour effectively to promote a safe and productive classroom. 🌟🎒
- Resource Preparation: Help in the preparation and organization of teaching materials and resources. ✂️📎
- Collaborative Planning: Work closely with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and learning programs. 🤝📝
- Professional Development: Participate in ongoing training and development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge. 📅📚
- Qualifications and Experience 🎓
Essential:
Proven experience working as a teaching assistant or in a similar educational support role. 🧑🏫
Strong literacy and numeracy skills. 📊🔠
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 🗣️🤗
Ability to work effectively as part of a team. 🧩
Desirable:
Experience in leading small group interventions or whole-class teaching. 👨🏫👩🏫
Knowledge of special educational needs (SEN) and strategies to support diverse learners. 🧠
First aid qualification. 🩹⛑️
