Daily Rate: £85-£95 per day
KS2 TA Woodbridge. We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to support a mixed Year 3/4 class. The role is to cover sickness leave and is available for an immediate start, with the potential to continue on an ongoing basis. Ideally, we are looking for someone with Thrive training to support some reluctant learners and help foster a positive and engaging classroom environment.
School day supervision and classroom support, with a 30-minute lunch break during which supervision duties in the playground are required.

Responsibilities for KS2 Teaching Assistant (Mixed Year 3/4 Class) – Woodbridge:
- Provide in-class support for pupils, particularly focusing on those needing extra encouragement and engagement in their learning.
- Assist the class teacher with lesson delivery, adapting activities and tasks to meet the needs of all pupils, including those who may need additional motivation or differentiated approaches.
- Implement Thrive-based strategies (if applicable) to support the social and emotional development of pupils.
- Help to maintain a calm, supportive, and inclusive classroom environment where each child can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
- Supervise children during a 30-minute lunch break and on the playground to ensure a safe and supportive play environment.
- Foster strong relationships with pupils, encouraging positive behaviour, participation, and learning engagement.
Requirements:
- Experience working as a Teaching Assistant, preferably within a Key Stage 2 setting.
- Thrive training (highly desirable) or a willingness to support children with social and emotional learning needs using other suitable methods.
- Patience, empathy, and strong communication skills to engage reluctant learners effectively.
- Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, staff, and parents to promote the well-being and academic progress of pupils.
- Commitment to creating a positive and nurturing learning environment.
