We’re looking for a dedicated full-time Learning Support Assistant to join a friendly and inclusive primary school on a long-term basis, starting January 2025. This role is ideal for someone with a passion for supporting children in reaching their full potential, both academically and personally.

About the Role:

As a Learning Support Assistant, you’ll work closely with teachers to provide both general classroom support and targeted 1:1 or small group assistance. You’ll be an essential part of the learning journey, helping students with diverse needs thrive in a positive and structured environment. Must be willing to work with children with medicals needs – full training will be provided.

Key Responsibilities:

– Provide support to individual students or small groups to foster engagement and understanding
– Assist with general classroom duties and support the teacher in delivering a dynamic and inclusive learning experience
– Adapt resources and materials to meet individual learning needs
– Encourage positive behaviour and support social and emotional development as a Learning Support Assistant
– Collaborate with teaching staff to monitor progress and adjust support as needed

Ideal Candidate:

– Previous experience in a classroom or educational setting (LSA, TA, or similar)
– Ability to build rapport with students and create a positive, nurturing environment
– Understanding of safeguarding and child protection principles
– Strong communication skills and a proactive, flexible approach
– Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant or equivalent) preferred but not essential
