We are a trusted education recruitment agency working with schools across Chelmsford to provide high-quality Learning Support Assistants (LSAs). One of our partner schools is seeking a dedicated LSA to join their vibrant team.
Position: Learning Support Assistant (LSA)
Location: Chelmsford
Hours: Monday-Thursday, 8:30am-3:30pm; Friday, 8:30am-1:15pm
Contract Type: Temporary (with potential for long-term opportunities)
Start Date: Immediate
The Role:
As an LSA, you will:
- Provide 1:1 and small group support to students with varying learning needs.
- Assist the class teacher in creating an inclusive and engaging learning environment.
- Support students with their social and emotional development.
- Adapt learning materials to suit individual student needs as a Long Term LSA
- Promote a positive, safe, and structured classroom environment.
Requirements:
We are looking for candidates who:
- Have previous experience working as a Long Term LSA, Teaching Assistant, or in a similar role.
- Are enthusiastic, compassionate, and patient.
- Can commit to the specified working hours (Mon-Thurs 8:30am-3:30pm, Fri 8:30am-1:15pm).
- Hold an enhanced DBS certificate on the Update Service or are willing to apply for one.
- Have strong communication and interpersonal skills.
