In this role, you will play a vital part in shaping the physical, mental, and emotional development of students, fostering a love for sport, fitness, and overall well-being.
Job Responsibilities for PE Teacher Jobs Stowmarket:
- Deliver engaging and high-quality PE lessons that cater to a wide range of abilities and inspire students to develop their physical skills.
- Promote the importance of health, fitness, and a balanced lifestyle through a variety of sports and activities.
- Plan and deliver lessons across Key Stages 3 to 5, focusing on skill development, teamwork, and sportsmanship.
- Create an inclusive and motivating learning environment where all students feel encouraged and challenged.
- Organize and lead extracurricular sports clubs, teams, and school events, fostering participation and a sense of community.
- Track and assess student progress, providing feedback that helps students improve and achieve their potential.
- Collaborate with other staff to support the wider school ethos and contribute to cross-curricular initiatives.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and relevant academic qualifications in physical education or a related field.
- Experience teaching physical education at the secondary school level or equivalent.
- Excellent knowledge of the national curriculum and current best practices in physical education.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents.
- Enthusiasm for sports and the ability to inspire students to participate actively and enjoy physical activities.
- Dedication to promoting a healthy and active lifestyle among students.
- Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of students.
- Proactive approach to professional development, willing to learn and implement new teaching strategies.
- Safeguarding and first aid qualifications (or willingness to obtain them).
