Responsibilities for PPA Teacher Jobs Ipswich:

  • Deliver high-quality lessons across KS1 and KS2, following the school’s curriculum and ensuring a consistent learning experience for students.
  • Adapt to teaching in different classrooms, covering for teachers during their planning, preparation, and assessment (PPA) time.
  • Maintain a positive and engaging classroom environment that supports student learning and well-being.
  • Plan and prepare engaging lessons when required, catering to the needs and abilities of all pupils.
  • Mark work and provide constructive feedback to support students’ progress and achievement.
  • Work collaboratively with teaching staff and adhere to the school’s policies and procedures.
  • Manage classroom behavior effectively, ensuring all students are on task and supported.
  • Build strong relationships with students, fostering a sense of trust and mutual respect.

Requirements:

  • A recognized Teaching Qualification with QTS (Qualified Teacher Status).
  • Proven experience teaching in primary schools, ideally across both KS1 and KS2.
  • Strong classroom management skills and the ability to adapt to different teaching environments.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with students and staff.
  • A flexible and proactive approach to cover various classes and year groups.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of the national curriculum and effective teaching practices.
  • An enhanced Child Workforce Only DBS check on the update service or willingness to undergo one.
