4myschools are looking for a SEMH Primary Teacher to work in schools in Kings Lynn, Norfolk.
Are you an experienced and compassionate teacher with a passion for supporting students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs? We are currently seeking a dedicated SEMH Primary Teacher to join a supportive and dynamic team in King’s Lynn. This role is available on both a part-time or full-time basis, allowing you to find the work-life balance that suits you.
Responsibilities as a SEMH Primary Teacher:
- Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to meet the individual needs of children with SEMH.
- Provide a safe, supportive, and nurturing learning environment that promotes positive mental health and emotional well-being.
- Manage classroom behaviour effectively, using de-escalation techniques to support students in overcoming challenges.
- Work closely with teaching assistants, SENCO, and other professionals to support each child’s development.
- Monitor and assess students’ progress, adapting teaching strategies to ensure ongoing improvement.
- Build strong relationships with students, parents, and staff, fostering a sense of trust and respect.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Experience working with children who have SEMH needs, ideally in a primary school setting.
- Strong knowledge of strategies to support SEMH students, including behaviour management and tailored learning.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A compassionate and patient approach to teaching.
- Ability to create engaging and motivating lessons for children with diverse learning needs.
- Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to undertake).
