SEN LSA Job Bury St Edmunds. Are you a compassionate and dedicated Learning Support Assistant (LSA) looking for a rewarding role in Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) or Key Stage 1 (KS1)? We are currently seeking an LSA to join a welcoming mainstream primary school in Bury St Edmunds. This is a full-time, long-term position starting immediately, offering a wonderful opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of young learners.
Responsibilities for SEN LSA Bury St Edmunds:
- Provide 1:1 and small group support to children with various learning needs, helping them settle into school life and engage with the curriculum.
- Assist the class teacher in delivering high-quality lessons, adapting activities to meet the individual needs of students.
- Promote positive behaviour and emotional well-being, creating a nurturing environment for all children.
- Support children in developing key skills such as literacy, numeracy, and social interaction.
- Encourage independence and build confidence in each child’s learning journey.
- Collaborate with teachers, SENCO, and other support staff to ensure the best outcomes for every child.
Requirements:
- Experience working in EYFS or KS1, with a strong understanding of child development.
- A caring and patient attitude, with a genuine passion for supporting children’s growth and development.
- The ability to manage challenging behavior in a calm and positive manner.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with staff, parents, and external agencies.
- A flexible and proactive approach to meeting the individual needs of students.
- Relevant qualifications or experience in supporting children with additional needs is highly desirable.
