4myschools are seeking an inspiring SEN Art Teacher to start January 2025 either part-time or full-time, on long-term supply but temp to perm for the right candidate out in King’s Lynn, Norfolk.

Join a therapeutic SEMH Special School offering full-time education and support to 96 children aged between 5-16. Referred to the school by the local authority as part of their duties to arrange SEN provision. Encouraged to be their authentic selves, explore their feelings/emotions and develop a self awareness and emotional literacy that will stand them in good stead for the next stages of their education and their adult lives. Focused on teaching the importance of practicing self-care and emotional wellbeing, tolerance, respect and the roles we all play in our community, both at school and beyond. Working alongside an active school council to ensure all are involved in this important work.

Key Responsibilities for the SEN Teacher Job Norfolk:

Ensure pupils receive an excellent education through the delivery of high-quality teaching.
Offer active support for the School’s Policy and Procedures.
Be part of a team that delivers a broad, balanced, and inclusive curriculum for students.
Support and monitor students’ progress and development, contributing to raising standards and attainment, whilst motivating and challenging students to achieve their very best.
Work with the department from 8am-4pm contributing to improving and developing current curriculum resources.

Requirements for the SEN Teacher Job Norfolk:

An appropriate degree and other qualifications required for the award of QTS.
Qualified Teacher Status
Experience with teaching this subject.
Understanding of the wider role of a teacher in the personal development of pupils, including the main responsibilities of a form tutor.
Knowledge of the statutory requirements concerning Equal Opportunities, Health & Safety, SEND and Child Protection
