We are currently seeking a qualified and dedicated Supply Maths Teacher to work in schools across Norwich, offering flexible opportunities to cover teacher absences and short-term needs.
Role Overview:
As a Supply Maths Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality maths lessons to students at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. You will step into classrooms to provide continuity of learning, ensuring that students remain engaged and on track with their studies. This is an excellent opportunity for teachers who enjoy variety and the flexibility of working across different schools.
Key Responsibilities for a Supply Maths Teacher:
- Deliver engaging and effective maths lessons to Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students.
- Follow the school’s curriculum and ensure that learning objectives are met during your supply period.
- Manage classroom behavior in line with the school’s policies, creating a positive learning environment.
- Support students’ individual learning needs and provide constructive feedback on their progress.
- Collaborate with school staff to ensure smooth transitions and continuity of learning.
- Maintain accurate attendance records and ensure students are supported effectively.
- Uphold the school’s safeguarding and health and safety policies.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- A degree in Mathematics or a related subject.
- Experience teaching Maths at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
- Strong classroom management skills and the ability to engage students effectively.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
- A flexible and proactive approach to teaching in a supply setting.
- A passion for mathematics education and a commitment to student success.
