We are currently seeking a talented and adaptable Supply Science Teacher to join our team for placements in Wymondham. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a variety of schools and make a real impact on students’ learning.
Role Overview:
As a Supply Science Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective science lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. You will step in to cover for teachers on leave or during short-term absences, ensuring that students continue to receive high-quality education. You’ll have the opportunity to work in diverse school settings, making this a rewarding and flexible role for educators who enjoy variety and new challenges.
Key Responsibilities for a Supply Science Teacher:
- Deliver high-quality science lessons (across Physics, Chemistry, and Biology) to Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students, following the school’s curriculum.
- Ensure that lessons are engaging, interactive, and appropriately differentiated to meet the needs of all students.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively, promoting a positive and respectful learning environment.
- Work closely with school staff to ensure smooth transitions and continuity in learning for students.
- Provide feedback to students on their progress and support their academic development.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student attendance and performance.
- Adhere to the school’s safeguarding and health and safety policies.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- A degree in Science (Physics, Chemistry, or Biology).
- Experience teaching Science at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
- Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to engage and motivate students.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well within a team.
- A flexible, proactive approach to teaching and adapting to different school environments.
- A passion for science education and the ability to inspire students.
