Are you passionate about making a positive impact in the lives of young children? Do you have experience or interest in supporting children with special educational needs? We are seeking a dedicated LSA to join our supportive school located in the surrounding area of Ingatestone, Essex. This would be on a full-time long-term basis starting from September.
Key Responsibilities: 📋
Collaborate with colleagues to implement and review educational healthcare plans (EHCPs), ensuring appropriate support is provided.
Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to teachers and contributing to the assessment process.
Support students with social and emotional challenges, providing guidance and encouragement as needed.
Maintain a safe and orderly learning environment, adhering to school policies and procedures at all times.
Adapt communication and engagement techniques to meet the child’s specific learning needs and delays.
Requirements: ✅
Previous experience working with children or young people, ideally within an educational setting.
Understanding of the challenges faced by children with SEN as a Learning Support Assistant.
Patience, resilience, and a compassionate approach to supporting learning and behavioural challenges.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
A commitment to the values of inclusivity and support in educational settings.
