Year 1 Teacher Job – Hitchin
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Year 1 Teacher to join our vibrant primary school in Hitchin. This is a full-time position starting after Easter 2025, with the role expected to last for at least one term. The successful candidate will be committed to providing a nurturing and engaging learning environment, ensuring that all children reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities for a Year 1 Teacher:
- Delivering high-quality, engaging lessons to Year 1 students in line with the National Curriculum.
- Planning and assessing lessons to support children’s learning and development.
- Providing a supportive and inclusive classroom environment where all children feel valued.
- Monitoring and tracking student progress, offering feedback to students and parents.
- Collaborating with colleagues and the school leadership team to enhance the learning experience.
- Ensuring the well-being and safety of all students under your care.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and experience teaching in a primary school.
- A passion for working with young children and supporting their educational development.
- Strong understanding of the National Curriculum and early years education.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- A positive, enthusiastic, and creative approach to teaching.
- Ability to work well within a team and build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
